I have been a practicing Attorney for more than 30 years, the last three in the City Attorney’s Office. There I learned how much more I can do to improve the lives in our community and make it vibrant again! From removing decaying structures, attracting more businesses, providing legal innovations to old problems, to supporting ideas that can rejuvenate Pine Bluff!
• Improve access to legal and administrative resources to address homelessness, domestic violence, and food insecurity. • Refurbish abandoned buildings to create affordable housing opportunities. • Transform vacant lots into neighborhood gardens and open-air markets for fresh produce. • Initiate aggressive tax collection efforts through court action against absentee landlords and property owners. • Strengthen code enforcement to enhance neighborhood aesthetics and attract new residents. • Develop work-study programs in partnership with local businesses to provide young people with opportunities to earn high school credit and gain valuable employment skills.
